I went to Carolina dragway this past sunday. I didn't hook well at all and neither were other guys I talked to. I swear this track is uphill at the very end. My mph was down but ET was lower.
Darlington is the best track I've raced on so far. They spray the whole track with VHT. I wasn't even chirping the 1st to 2nd shift there.

Carolina Dragway in Aiken SC AKA. The House of Hook.
I've been there and had a few friends race their cars but I have not personally raced there myself. As far as rules and regs. LOL!!!! This is kinda funny, because their RnR are really relaxed. When I was there (about 2 years ago) one of my buddies was racing in shorts. LOL!!!!!!!
I've only been there once, but from what I've heard, it usually a sticky little track. I ran a 12.86 with street tires and felt like I could have done better. I don't know about the uphill thing but I think a trapped around 109-110mph.
