I ended up going with a waterproof breathable cover from Empire Car Covers
I was going to go with cover king, but it looks like the same cover, but $100 bucks cheaper.

My Son went away on an extended hiking trip.
We parked his nice little VW Jetta (not stock, fun to drive) in the grass next to my garage.
I noticed a little water thru the cover.'
What we later found out was when it would rain the water would NOT go thru the cover, but it WOULD drain under the car.
Then the sun would come out and as the water evaporated it would condense UNDER the cover...
You are right Vince, it is a four year old post. I alway forget to look at that part.
Usually I am just surfing, trying to learn something, and sometime hoping to contribute if a can.
Now if someone else does a search, or asks a question they will get opinions over a four year period.
My experience is no less valid be it a four year old post or a 4 minute post. It's just part of the record...

Vince is absolutely right. Putting a "bra" on the front ...
Hello can you tell me where you got your car tent for lack of a better word. I have been working over the road the last 3 years and all of my cars where outside under a car cover and I was not happy. They took a beating that sure would help. Does it have a floor? Does it leak at all when it rains? And does it retain moisture as water evaporates after a rain. Those would be my concerns.... Can't...
Any of the national home improvement chain stores like Home Depot and Lowe's have them. I don't know where you're from, but where I live we have a place called Menard's. That's where I got it. No, it doesn't leak, and the car doesn't even have condensation on it in the morning. It doesn't seem to retain any moisture, but I can't be totally sure of that. It doesn't have a floor, but I cut up ...
Thanks for the info Dan! You can disregard the p.m. I sent you. Say I live North of Medford, WI I have been to Tomahawk many times when I was younger. Menards would be great if they still have them. Did you get it in Wausau, WI or what store did you go to? It is about an hour drive for me to any of the bigger towns with any big chain stores... I hope they still have them...
Thanks....
First of all, I live in Lake Tomahawk. Tomahawk is 30 miles south of here. I got mine at Menard's in Rhinelander, but I'm sure they would have them at all the Menard's stores. The brand name is Roundtop, and it's called garage-in-a-box.
