Ever since Mrs. GW and I made the decision not to travel for Thanksgiving and Christmas, our favorite TV program is the evening news, where they show traffic snarls and people stranded at airports.

I'm also shining the light of my daughter on Florida - she has gone there for a week with her boyfriend, to meet his family and celebrate Thanksgiving. Apparently they are dyed-in-the-wool rightwing conservatives. My daughter is a mouthy liberal (no, I don't know where she gets it, so shut up). Should be an interesting week. I hope Miami survives.
