Thread: Can't see the timing marks

Can't see the timing marks I have been wanting to bump my timing some fo ra while but the issue is that the timong marks are no longer visable. any other way to change the timing w/o the timing marks? Thanks!

You need to get under the car and maybe turn the engine over with a wrench until you find the marks, then take a white marker or paint and mark it. might have to take a wire wheel or sand paper to the damper first.

the marks do not disappear because a stock ford unit has the marks STAMPED into the outer ring.. you need to just remove the gooook and grease / gunk from off of it with some carb spray cleaner and scotchbrite pad.... __________________ I have gone down the road that you are only now about to travel. tires are the ...
