Thread: Cant install iTunes 9 update, or any other version whatsoever

yes i already did all this with no luck. i dont know if this is any help, but the reason the itunes download messed up is because my computer shut off while downloading the update. acer aspire 6530   Windows Vista  

vyrenee If you are still there, I have just had a heads up about a similar issue to your being caused by problems with permissions on the the Programs file folder. Post abck if you want to explore that avenue. compaq presario iPod 20GB iTunes 9.0.2.25   Windows XP   SP3

I was unable to install iTunes v9 on my Laptop, it runs Vista. The specific problem was that iTunes insisted on finding a Drive that wasn't available. Rather than tinker with code, I downloaded (via save, not run) a copy of the iTunes set-up file to a USB key (dongle). The USB acted as the drive of the offending missing letter iTunes was searching for and the software then installed itself when run from the USB key. Acer Aspire 6939G...
