Hi,   I just assembled a new computer with Win 7 Pro, and downloaded and installed the full package for the C6380.Something must clash, because it made my sound system emit a steady tone. Anyway, I unistalled all but the printer drivers and the tone went away. I can print to it but cannot scan from it. It is hooked up wirelessly through my router. My laptop on Vista 64 can do ...

I should clarify the last sentence. After I realized it would scan using the downloaded drivers, uninstalled the driver and let Win 7 install it. It installed the driver, but no change. I can print to it but can't scan from it.

were you able to observe any error messages during installation and during scanning?

The problem happens when I try to scan from a program such as Word when trying to import into the clip organizer or into a program. It displays a general error message of "unable to connect to scanner or camera. Check the connection and reinstall driver if necessary." I can access the C6380 through its IP address and scan that way, but obviously that's not the ideal way to do it.
