Thread: Cannot restart aircraft engines after shutdown

Started 4 months, 3 weeks ago by TailsButt
Never been able to figure this one out. With pretty much any aircraft I have this issue that when I leave it turned off longer than maybe 10 minutes for example, I will never be able to restart the engines again. Is battery drain simulated or something? I even make sure to turn off all lights and things like that but still becomes completely dead and then Ctrl + E never works. Even manual fails....

i've had similar problems before, i think you need to do 2 things..either learn the complete start up procedure!...which is long...or the ctrl-e thing needs to be continualy pressed, like a few times, see if that does anything?

Dont know how well they did simulate things, but engines are vurnerable. A lots gotta do with the carburator and its like with a motorcycle for example when u cant get it started, u need maintainance on it because u for some reason did not treat it right. Jets are different but maybe more things to rememebert. At least old style engines on the old planes. Like DC3 irl u got electric pump count ...
