Thread: Cannot Send When Out of the U.S. in microsoft.public.outlook.general

For whatever reason I cannot send, using Oultook, when I'm out of the U.S. I am able to receive without any problem. This happens with either WiFi or wired connection. I am using Vista Home Premium. IE 8. Any suggestions?

Thank you for your reply. When you say "authenticate to the SMTP mail host." Are you refering to the outgoing mail server? Also, I understand making the setting changes, but I must assume that your are referring to a land line connection, but what do you do if you are using WiFi and if you are moving around a lot?...
