I might get the Acer Aspire. It seems pretty solid. The graphics seem okay for CoD 4.

The Acer a better bet for your money in terms of specs yes and it should run CoD fine.

Maybe an Acer Aspire AS6930 from: http://www.canadacomputers.com/index...id=NBK.104.187 It has a decent video card, although I'm not sure if its processor is fast enough for CoD4, at least to meet the recommended specs.

Seriously, your budget is too low. In Canada, my T500 , after EPP and such, came out to around 1100 before tax (that a total of 1300 after tax). Here, laptops are quite a bit more expensive than in the US. Your best bet would probably be eBay or a refurbished reseller.
