Thread: Can the Universe get "offended"?

Started 1 month, 3 weeks ago by bananya
so I had this weird question in my head today: what if you asked for something and the Universe gives it to you, but say you are not in the mood for it at this particular moment or something else happened and you can't take "it" now when you are given it so you don't, can the Universe get "offended" and be like - ok, you don't seem to really want what you ask for, so I'm not working on your ...

Abraham/Esther Hicks says something like the Universe/Source/your Higher Self says when you ask for something You know what's best for you (so it goes along with it)

No, the universe is pure love and doesn't understant concepts like being offended. They are human contructs and rationalizations. However, if you ask for something and then change your vibration to decline it you simply won't attract any more of it because you are not in that vibrational place. It is impossible to attract and not attract simultaneously. Either you are attracting or you are ...

No. One of the reasons it's called the " Law of Attraction" is to indicate its impartiality (also indicates its constancy--but that's another question). As Michelle points out, the Universe (or Source or God or...) is pure Love and doesn't judge or withhold or seek revenge, etc. I like Abraham-Hicks' concept that we ask and we expand and sometimes, in that expansion, we expand so that we ...

I think we are the Universe, we cannot speak of a universe separate from ourselves. When you say the Universe might get offended, you speak of some entity that is separate from us, but really everything that is comes from the same place and is the same at a quantum level. So it's impossible for the universe to ever get offended, as it is you, and you are it.

I'm sure that if you wanted to 'offend' the universe, it could get pissed at you, but then that would just be like kicking yourself now wouldn't it, this is a bad thing, so don't 'ask' for it.

Ok, so,.. I've been interested in witchcraft, so I've been looking into it; and I've read something about a principle of when a spell is done, it has put concentrated energy (intent) out (into the universe), and even if you are not focused on the intent afterward, with the right execution of the spell it will still manifest. ...Like, if you forgot about the intent you put out for say a blue teddy...

Cause you are Universe it is not possible. But I agree to you bananya,I sometimes think like you.I think it's cause some people use the "Universe" concept in a similar way to "Person God" concept. And this confuses some of us including me.(by Person-God I mean the God concept in Islam,Christianity, maybe some other religions.)

I think that "offended" might not be the right term to use, but here's my story: When I first got into Law of Attraction, I was introduced to it through the book "Science of Mind" (still one of my favorites, even though it reads like Shakespeare until you understand the language). At the same time, I was also learning the Photoreading Whole Mind System from the 3rd Edition of Paul ...

I don't have a "back up" to the statement, really. It just seems that whenever I do what I mentioned with the money, stuff seems "harder" to manifest afterward. Almost like the Universe "knows" that I'll just piss away whatever I intend. Best way I know how to describe it.
