We are now just days away from the eagerly anticipated heavyweight showdown between Brit David Haye and WBA Champion Nikolai Valuev - a match which has been billed ‘David Vs Goliath’ David Haye has vowed to bash Nikolay Valuev's big head on Saturday Can Haye win If so how Nikolay Valuev is 7"2 & 24st David Haye is 6"2 & 16st ( anyone got a step ladder for our Boy ?) I cant decide ...
I like David Haye and admire his confidence. I could knock Valuev out no problem, I just need to be allowed to kick him in the groin to get to his knees and then get a 20lb sledgehammer and hit im wif it! That should do the job…maybe. Haye has a chance, he is quicker than Valuev and if he boxes him he can win. He can damage his ribs, a very good tactic to slow your opponent down and needs to ...
I'd like to see Haye win, but I just can't see how he can maintian his punch power when he has to reach up to Val just to jab him!? Have you seen how bony his head is!? it's gonna take a hell of a punch to put him on his ar*e! I'm also wondering how well Haye will take a 12cm fist in his face! I hope one of my local drinking pits will have it on, should be a spectacle! KAPPOW!!!
I would like to think so. If he keeps on his bike, jabs & moves & doesn't get caught then I think he will. But if he gets tagged then it will be goodnight I fear.
Take a look at Valluev's last three fights on youtube, he is hopeless. He's huge and incredibly strong but he hasnt got a clue how to use his strengths. Evander Holyfield wooped his butt at 46 years of age last year. Something strange going on that he keeps getting awarded wins, even the WBA were investigating the holyfield result. Basically Haye should win (a fair fight) if he keeps his head,...

i think he is too big and heavy for david haye..he will wear him down in 6 rounds or so..i think matt skelton would of had a better chance with his strenghth and brawling style..or tyson fury..that would be a good scrap..lol
He doesnt really look human to me.......... The Russian I mean Our boy is pretty huge himself but he looks like a kid in comparison, how have they ended up being pitted against each other? It doesnt look right, he will smash him up, surely? vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv how come when they are so hugely different? thanks, luv
Is getting the result more important than the means? in a way..yes..but this is boxing..the object of the sport is to fight..two combatants fighting each other fair and square..queensbury rules...not run around the ring playing pit a pat..if that fight would of been staged in the usa..it could easily of been stopped as a no contest..anyway..its very rare that we see a boxing match of that poor quality...lets just hope it was a one off match...
Chopper, how may times has Haye delivered a performance that you could say was boring or defensive. He normally goes for the win 20 knock out in 22 fights says that. This was a needs must performance thats all! Valuev on the other hand has delivered more than one boring fight, simply because he is a freak in size and is a really awkward customer. Hitting him is not enough to get rid of him.
i didn't realise there was so many fight fans on here? what do you boys reckon on the pacquiau vs cotto fight this week? will cotto being, some would say, more accomplished at the weight division (welterweight) be enough to counter pacquiau's speed? and if pacquiau gets past cotto as expected, can he beat the pretty boy? i thought yes until recently, but the way floyd dismantled marquez, who is a top drawer fighter still, i have my...
well he won lol but the fight was dire, seen more action in a post office que at dinner time and not kidding either, only about 15 punches thrown by both fighters in every round, it did warm up in the last one but thats when the russian almost went down through boredom lol congrats david haye but tbh dont think you will have the title long.
Also isn't Haye going up a weight division for this fight? No, he vacated the Cruiserweight titles because he couldn't make the weight. He has already fought at Heavyweight in his last fight. He stopped a guy in 5 rounds, the same guy fought Valuev, but it took him 11 rounds to stop him. Look past Valuev's size and remember that it aint the dog in the fight but the fight in the dog.
It sadly wasn't a very exciting fight to watch after all the hype the last couple of weeks. But David Haye deserved the victory as he always looked to go forward and landed some good punches especially in the last round when The giant Russian almost went down. Its great to have a British heavyweight champion of the world again. I hope this will wake up our friends across the Atlantic to produce some genuine challengers This division has...
Crap contest, and I hope no Martians were watching. Er.......so this is 'boxing', right?......so why is that guy not trying to box the other one......ok...so it's a contest of playing to your strengths, yes......so why isn't that guy on the running track....you don't have races in which you run backwards??...but he's a natural!.....(another Kronenburg, please)........so, he won that round, and didn't land a...
