Thread: Calling files from fscommand folder in a projector

Started 2 years ago by Rudaitis
I have tried what you suggested Northcode and it works till i go to add in a new button and the code does not work. I am aplying this code directly to the button on the stage. Is this the right way or is their another.

Hi, I'm revising a Flash projector project which was originally created on a MAC; I'm using a PC to edit it. The projector is to be saved to a CD along with some .pdfs and .jpgs which are in the fscommand folder. I've solved all the problems except one: I can't figure out how to convert the new .pdfs and .jpgs to callable files (callable from the Flash movie). The AS on the button for each...

Jstart was probably NOT used to make an EXE that could launch these files since Jstart is just a helper application. How big are the EXE files? It should work as long as SmartExec is visible (in scope) where you're trying to call it. You should also make sure that the code you're adding to the button on the stage is actually being called (that's a more common problem).

Anybody know of a way to bring the window being opened to the front of the screen? Since the "application" being called is "Finder", putting the "Activate" tag in brings the FINDER to the front... not the PDF being opened. And trying to "Activate" the file does the same thing. Any and all help/feedback is appreciated....
