I have one word to describe the SP-01 Tactical I just received from CZ.... A W E S O M E ! Although the pistol is hefty which I actually do like, it balances very well with a slight bias toward the muzzle. The pointing and grip ergonomics are top notch, even when firing it one handed. Not only is it very accurate, I tried over 200 rounds of five different types of ammo through it without a ...
I recently became a BIG CZ fan after I bought my P-01. Mine was put together uber tight. The trigger, which is intially a little tough, gets better each time I take it out. I love this pistol and am looking at a CZ-97 if .45 ammo ever makes it back on the shelf.
The SP-01 is an evil, evil gun! I purchased one to do R&D on, and the next thing I know there were 2 more plus a 75B that appeared in my safe! Run I say! Run! All kidding aside, they have become my favorite platform to shoot and work on.
The SP01 Tactical is truly a 'beast' and one of my favorite 'full-sized' pistolas!... CZ makes an excellent product... After alot of years of shootin, for me it's narrowed down to SIGs and CZs... that's it, SIMPLE! The favorites of my CZ family...

I'd like a P-01, I'm a CZ fanboy: PCR, 97, P-07 Duty, 75compact. ...
CZ's, 1911's, and SIG's are my favorite 3 gun styles (platforms). Not always in that order, it depends on which one I'm shooting. I prefer my 9mm's to be CZ, and my .45's to be either a SIG or a 1911. DBAR
The other thing that is really appealing about this gun is that it shot ALL the ammunition I used in it well and to pretty much the same point of aim. I used Winchester, 115gr and 124gr, CCI Blazer 115gr, American Eagle 124gr, and Federal HST 124gr. Usually most guns tend to prefer certain brands and/or weights, but this one seems to like it all. How great is that?!?

As far as the takedown of the pistol, if you have trouble getting the slide stop out of the frame, just tap it gently with the blunt end of a screwdriver or even carefully against any firm surface that won't scratch the finish and it will start its way out. That's what I do. I use the mag basepad to push it out when needed, it's plastic and wont mar the finish.
