Thread: CZ 75 Grips

Started 2 years ago by tex45acp
My stainless 75B came from the factory with these checkered wood grips that are very thin, yet extremely comfortable. Here is a picture from the rear.

What can be done to make the grip slimmer on the CZ 75, 85 pistols? The grips feel too wide to me. The frame appears to be most of the width but I'm wondering if the grip panels could be changed to thinner ones and make an appreciable difference. Has anyone found any superthin grips for these guns?

They are beauties, and they are slim.

BrianG2Ad, How much thinner are they than the factory plastic grips? Can you really feel the difference or do they just look better?

briang2ad replied 2 years ago
You can also measure it - and while it is only a tad smaller, they FEEL thinner. There are some custom grip makers like Hakan (accessible through the CZ site), who also make beautiful and slim grips, but I don't think they are slimmer than the factory ones. You can also get the factory ones in full or half checkered format. Also - because the B model can be carried locked and cocked, I ...

Omega Custom Grips here in the US and Hakan Pek in Norway will do thinner than usual grips on order. I don't have any personal experience with Mr. Pek or his work, but his reputation is stellar. I have ordered from Omega (pretty sure these are my matching SP-01 and P-01 olivewood grips here ), and am quite pleased with the finished product. The work was done in a timely manner, and both ...

The stock grips incorporate a palm swell. Just get a set of wood grips minus that swell. The above mentioned companies can hook you up. Also, Hogue offers wood CZ grips.

This guy sells nice looking cz grips. Check his auctions. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/Vie...?Item=85787 593 Mark

If you insist on wood, the Hogue's are the slimmest. But, if you have really small hands with short fingers, the best option will be the aluminium ones. You can get them from; * www.ghostholster.com , a company run by Angus Hobdell. * www.shop-cz.com , an online store in Czech Republic run by Jiri Kuzel. It is a pleasure to make business with both of them and the ...

shepherddogs, Hakan is a friend of mine and when I spoke to him he said his grips are normally thinner than the factory CZ grips. He also said he would work with you on what you want. The photo is of a set of matched grips Hakan made for my CZ75 Compact and Rami. Regards, Richard

briang2ad, Is that a transition 75? It says 75 on the slide but it has the 75B trigger guard. Nice gun.

I had some custom grips made by Omega and am extremely happy with them. He will work with you to make them to your exact 'likes'.
