Thread: CRASH TALK - Official Thread on the 2009 Stock Market Crash

Started 2 months ago by payneinboise
The DOW hit a wall at around 10,000 Points and the BIG MELTDOWN has begun.  How far do you think it will go down  ?    Which sectors are still good for investment  ?

I think the market will tank very fast and hit definitely under 9,000 and probably under 8,000 by Xmas.  It is simply too overvalued and only a few companies are earning money.   Commodity stocks are the only sectors I would invest in.  Oil and gas stocks, and mining stocks.

Guerrilla invest. Buy an inverse ETF, ride it out a couple of days. This is no time to go long on anything. Remember think guerrilla......be the guerrilla

I make money when the market moves up or down. This volatility has been great!

Imo, it is not a good idea to time the market, especially trying to call tops or bottom. I don't know of anyone that has been successful at timing tops or bottoms. This is an interesting article I ran across today: http://www.fundmymutualfund.com/2009/10/real-break down-or-trap-of-bears-do-we.html   There have been many things that one could describe as "remarkable" the past 2 years... ...

Hey, Great Depression 1 - Please, make no mistake about it. You have no idea what you're talking about. THAT is a fact. I guess you need to post your ridiculous opinions to entertain yourselve...since you certainly don't know how to make any money in the market. Leave that to those of us that invest wisely and patiently. I only stumbled across this thread accidently, I don't normally waste...

Don't you think the people that bailed out of the market last winter are kicking themselves? Let me help you...yeah, they are.  Well apparently this person does not know anything as well.

How low will it go? 7,000 if we are lucky. 4,000 if we are not. I will start buying back in at 7,000. All the way down to wherever the bottom is.

Is the Rally Running Out of Gas? ? ? The market's been struggling for the last week as investors start to fret that the US economy is looking stagnant. Either way,?I'm covered...hope you are too. The volatility makes some great opportunities, ?like fishing in a river with a net. ? Best of luck to everyone.? ? ? Here comes November!

And part 3: (would be nice if it told you the charactor limit) ? Oh, and what sectors are still good for investing?.....(Family Health Insurance) Stockpile Food, Water, Weapons and Ammunition. (hurry though, your dollars are.....shrinking as you read this) Although I have full confidence in the accuracy of my predictions I don't worry about it much or bury my head in the sand over it,?I see the whole thing as eventual and uncontrollable....

Worst case scenario- No more jobs in America with them all being outsourced, we no longer produce anything here, how can an economy recover based on nothing but wishful thinking and money being printed that is worthless? Is it possible the economy will never recover? We haven't seen that happen in our lifetimes but that doesn't mean it can't happen, could this be our Rome? will Americans actually have to start over and go to...

This market makes me feel like that old country western song: "Sometimes you're the windshield, sometimes you're the bug."
