Hey guys,
I thought I'd start a new thread, so as to keep on-topic with the title etc.
I got my car diagnosed this evening, and the following was revealed:
11 - AVANOS2-Hall Sensor
162 - Synchronisation CS-Sensor 2 with KW
92 - Post-cat sensor 1 voltage monitoring
80 - Switch chain grip
From this, I can deduce the following:
A faulty CPS is what is ...

Diagnosis software was INPA?
Should I do all 4?
Or just one bank now and the other bank in a month or so?
Software was Bavarian Technic or something like that...
Depends on you!
If you can effort it,change them all as a preventive strike
Personally I changed all when I had one bad CPS.But seems like I even now change my rod bearings as prevention....
It depends on you attitude if you are more the "fix it when it's broken" or "less things to worry about" guy.
At least the exhaust CPS are very often a problem on these cars.

You're sure it's Bank2's Exhaust CPS?
I'll probably do both in Bank 2 for now and then do the other two when I do my next oil change.
I'm sure this has been said a million times.. This forum ROCKS!...
It is exhaust CPS bank 2(if you stand infront of the car right side)
I would change the exhaust CPS on bank one also(not really a need to change the intake CPS,they don't die so often compared to the exhaust ones)
I'm having trouble remembering which one it is, but AVANOS2 is not Exhaust on Bank 2. It is, I think, Exhaust on Bank 1. Then again, that's why I use a Peake - it gives me nice clear errors.
As for "92 - Post-cat sensor 1 voltage monitoring", I'd interpret that as the Bank 1 post-cat sensor. Whether it means that the sensor itself is bad or the wiring to it, I'm not sure. In any case, ...
Just a quick update.. I bought two new Exhaust CPSes. I replaced just the one in Bank2. It's an absolute MISSION to replace.. I don't know how some people manage to get at it from the top of the engine. I don't have huge hands and I sukkeled to get in there. Sight isn't the problem, it's space and actually getting in there. So I jacked-up the car and replaced it from underneath.. With the right tools, that's not...

I'm not too sure though - I'm new to the M5. What's worrying me now, is the crankshaft sensor as well. Could that be as...

You don't need to be multi-lingual to work out these codes - They're just normal Decimal instead of Hexadecimal. The DME creates the same code for each error. It has no idea what tool you will be using to read them. Some tools read in Hex (e.g. Peake) and some in Decimal (e.g. the one in the OP). They're both reading the same data; just displaying it differently. Just use the link below to convert them - DECIMAL to BINARY...
