Thread: CHANGING THE COOLANT IN THE RADIATOR OF vl800 k5 UK SPEC

hI FOLKS. I am a new member and have a question to ask... I own a VL800 intruder k5, this is in the uk spec as I am from NORTHERN IRELAND My question is ..how do I drain and refil the radiator on the bike.. seems silly but I have no Idea..... I am able to strip the bike down a good bit but I learn by doing the things. this is my first watercooled bike and as such I AM AT A...

Welcome from Lafayette, Indiana. I can't open Jen's link here at work, but basically you remove the hose to empty the radiator.........dumb method, why didn't they just give us a drain plug on the bottom of the radiator?

I'm sure the link is good. My workplace did something to all our company computers to stop links, and facebook, and stuff like that. Can't even look up Rifle Windshields because it seems like a weapon site.

I'm sure the link is good. My workplace did something to all our company computers to stop links, and facebook, and stuff like that. Can't even look up Rifle Windshields because it seems like a weapon site.

My question is ..how do I drain and refil the radiator on the bike.. seems silly but I have no Idea..... No such thing as a silly question.........only the answers hence: remove tank, remove rad cap, turn bike upside down _________________ rifle shield/lowers, fender guards, cobra bars, jim's spacers, pegs, sageb chaps, gel seat, cruise, easyoff brackets, oem bags, l. rack, oem pass boards, kury. roll bag, brake cover...
