Thread: Budweiser Clydesdales

I used to ride alot too when I was younger. I haven't been on a horse in years tho. I love the smell of them!

Today the famous Budweiser Clydesdales were in town. Thought I'd share some pics they let us take. The bottom one with the girl is my 16 yr old daughter. She was thrilled to get to pet them. The funniest thing was a little boy who asked"Is there Beer in there?" refering to the horses trailer you see behind the horses, the lady handler asked him how old he was...he puffed up and proudly announced he was 4! Oddly enough, we passed by the Budweiser (sp) plant in Texas yesterday, and I had my eyes peeled for the horses, but didn't see them. You had them!! LOL I got to see them and handle them as a youngster; they were amazing. They had a foal that was taller than me, but all of them were as gentle as lambs. Just beautiful, awesome animals. I remember their eyes being so dark and soft...just amazing to be around. Your daughter is lovely also!!...

Aren't they magnificent? I have seen them once before. I get all teary eyed when I see Budweiser's Christmas commercials with them running in the snow. Just beautiful!

You can also apply to adopt them when they are retired.

They are really something. Being from St Louis, MO we would get to go see them every year for a school field trip. There's a place called Grants Farm south of St Louis where they "live". It's always big news when a baby is born too. I haven't been to Grants Farm in years but I do remember having a lot of fun. A great place to go for all ages. Letha
