This is a pretty accurate (IMO) assessment of the Busc situation by Pat Yasinskas.

TAMPA, Fla. -- In April, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers drafted Josh Freeman and said he eventually would be the franchise quarterback. These days, the Bucs need Freeman to be nothing short of their savior.
Thats what it has come to. Seriously. Lets...
It's a bit of a paradox, because winning games is what will likely save Rah's job, and unless Josh Freeman has grown quite a bit from his days at K-State, the guy who just got benched gave us the best chance for that to happen.
I don't see us going 0-16 or 1-15 if Freeman shows THAT much. And if he doesn't show THAT much, and we end up going 0-16 or 1-15, then nobody is going to buy ...
Good article. Too much is hanging on the head of a 21 year old. Don't think he can destroy careers, they are doing that for themselves, but he may save them. Right now, Freeman is a Hail Mary pass.

I don't think they had any intention of playing Freeman this season, let ...
I think the COACHING STAFF this season is the biggest part that is sufficiently bad enough to force the accelerated schedule. Specifically our coordinators. I know we're not the most talented team in the world, but we have way too much talent, especially offensively, to go 0-16.

Intersting read. I'm looking forward to seeing if Josh is going to pan out for sure.
Hard to get very excited though seeing as our defense can't stop anyone.

I always thought Gruden just gave up on the young guys way too fast.
I have to believe one thing about Freeman. He is going to play harder than anyone on the field, and if he doesn't then we are in some trouble.

But the rest of the team is sufficiently bad enough to force the accelerated...
