yes very true! thanks for the post!  I am also a hygienist :) also ladies if you find yourself having morning sickness...lucky you...dont brush your teeth immediatley after vomiiting. you will be brushing around acid and actually do damage to your tooth enamel. Instead swish with a fluoride rinse such as ACT for one minute. fluoride will neutrilize the acids. then wait 20 minutes to brush. good ...

missmichelle007, my advice to you is just to make sure that you are going for routine cleanings and that there are no active gum or tooth infections that can affect the baby. get things taken care of in your mouth as soon as you can. but the infection part is important during pregnancy.  the more you do on your end with brushing and flossing the better off you (and baby) are going to be!

I am in the process of locating a new dentist. My last one and I did not see eye to eye. I have BAD anxiety as far as dentistis go and she said I just simply needed to change my attitude about them. :) I wish it was that easy... I once had a dentist do two cavities with nothing to kill the pian...I have red hair and need multiple injections...Lets just says I was tramatized for life... I ...

missmichelle007, my advice to you is just to make sure that you are going for routine cleanings and that there are no active gum or tooth infections that can affect the baby. get things taken care of in your mouth?as soon as you can. but the infection?part is important during pregnancy. ?the more you do on your end with brushing and flossing the better off you (and baby) are going to be!
