I've been playing Catan, which I think is the official port of Settlers of Catan, a lot lately.

A good turnbased game for the iphone is EndofGenes. It is fairly new, but if you are a fan on Lux Touch or games like X-Com and Fieldrunner than you should enjoy this game.

I'd love to see Shogun: Total War. The turn based game was brilliant! Perhaps minus the RTS part of it..specs probably don't match up.
