It's right off 11E (near the Washington College turnoff) but I think the main entrance is on a side road paralleling 11E. I often take that road to get to the one and only (I think) gas station in Limestone. I've always noticed a formidable 'No Trepassing' sign at the main gates. A friend sent me their website a while back - because we live nearby - and I would have loved to have taken our ...
Where is it? The only gas station I know of in Limestone is Johnny's Market.
ETA, oh, cool. I see the map now. Looks like it is right near Johnny's but on the other side of the road? I've never cut back that direction.
I never knew NETN had giraffes. Thanks, kam!
I love trying to see the animals as I go by on 11E. I once saw a giraffe and almost ran off the road LOL! I didn't know they had tours though. That price is VERY steep! Maybe we could get 15 or more of us CD folks and go one Saturday afternoon? I know the 4 of us would LOVE to go, we all love zoo's and animals.
I would love to go if I can get my grandsons and their mom and dad to come...so maybe 6 of us? How much is it cost wise for a group...anyone know? I don't see pricing on their website. Cool! Fun!
If we can get 15 or more for a group it is $15 per person and kids under 2 free (I don't think they count as far as the 15 or more count??)
I will give them a call tomorrow if folks are really interested? With having the personal guide for the tour...wonder if we get to pet the animals?? I would LOVE that!....uh...I mean my kids would love that...yea yea...that is what I meant. hehehehe
Sorry, I didn't have a chance to call them today, but did look a lot closer at the web site tonight. It looks like they have October 3rd and 10th (first two Saturdays in October) available in the afternoon. The tours last about two hours.
So far it looks like we might have 13 who are interested in attending (although Pinney, are your grandkids under 2? If so, we may not be able to count them ...
I am tentatively interested in going, too, depending on our travel schedule... Maybe, Mouse, if you have folks send you the $15 admission fee then you could feel more certain about the numbers. I'd be willing to do that (even though I'm not sure about going). I also have a good friend (animal lover) who might want to go.. I'll check with her.. (maybe my husband, too, if he's here).
