Thread: Brides-to-be what have you decided on so far...?

Started 11 months ago by arm_candy
Looks like the old thread has gone missing, so I thought I would start a new one While most of my decisions have been made already, I changed my mind on my veil today and have now ordered it in a longer length (it falls to just around my butt!). The woman at the shop kept trying to convince me to get one iwth beads - I had to tell ehr at least half a dozen times I wanted a PLAIN veil - ...

Thanks ! It's such a beautiful dress, and really this picture does it no justice. In white it's simply stunning (if I do say so myself). What dress did you end up with skwinty ? Is it a Lisa Ho also ? Would love some pics if you have any.

Gem I'm hoping to have Simona do my hair and makeup too so I'm glad it went well. I'm sure the curls will look fabulous. Becky Boo I'm having my reception at Lachlan's too. Read in another forum that the marquee is quite dark at night so now I'm a bit worried..

Becky Boo your dress looks stunning! Janeck your venue looks gorgeous too. Just the kind of place we are looking for. I have finally got my engagement ring after waiting not so patiently for 3 months...but it was definitely worth the wait - I love it! We are trying to decide on our venue at the moment. I have shortlisted some we are going to look at soon, mostly vineyards. Very ...

I really loved the Lisa Ho dresses, but I ended up going for this one If the link doesn't direct you striaght to it - its the Japanese Dress. I'm having it altered slightly (mainly for less side boob ) but its a one off as I was able to pick up the sample. Not the best quality silk but for one day it will more than suffice. I'm so happy with it as it feels like a work of art... and ...

I bought the bits and pieces for the children's packs today. A colouring book, pack of pencils, stickers, stencils, party hats and party games, dolly mix and disposable camera all in a gift bag.

Kate , that all looks fantastic! Can I ask how about how the menu stays upright and where it goes on the table? I have been thinking about how I'm going to do mine and need some ideas!

Bondsy_84 , our wedding is on Friday... some of our guests are taking the whole day off work to see New Moon in the morning before the wedding in the afternoon! I have just finished my BM's presents - glass nail files and little compact mirrors to go with their bags- and I have just had my teeth professionally cleaned. Tomorrow I have my last dance lesson, a massage/eye lash perm and we pick up the suits. Then Thursday I'm getting...

And thank you all SO much for the compliments on my wedder - I am SO excited about wearing it! Hurry up March 12th!!! And yes, I did make the flowergirl dress. The back is gorgeous too but didn't photograph well. I'll have to get some photos of it on her when I take it to her for a fitting

I'l planning/hoping on having a digital camera and a little portable printer that guests can take some pics of themselves then stick them in the guest book and write comments. it's not a 'true' guest book in that is has columns for names and addresses etc so i'm hoping it turns out well!

Good luck six_foothalo !!!! May you have the most awesome day ever - and no matter what, )cookies are broken, veil length isn't right, etc) it won't matter on sunday, because you'll be with the love of your life and you'll still have had a magical day... You know, that makes me wonder...brides tell stories of things that went completely awry, families bickering, wine spilt on wedding dress, driver not showing up, etc etc -...

oh i started drafting the invites last night which is exciting.. BUT.. i need some advice. can i just put the names of the people im inviting on the envelope or do i need to put it on the actual invitation? i have a ribbon that i was going to put emma & rob (our names) on like a little swing tag, but im thinking maybe i could personalise the invite with the person's name/s im inviting on that instead? what do you think?
