I followed these instructions on the 7100i I got today and now I can use the hotspot browser and send MMS, but I can't receive messages? Anyone else have that problem?
nvm, fixed it
How did you fix it? I'm having the same trouble on my 8350.
Aside from that, this how-to is geared towards the older BBs so I have written one for the Curve. If you see any mistakes on it, please let me know.
I put it at http://jezghani.blogspot.com/ , and that will be updated as new information hits. However, I will paste it here also (sorry, it's super long!), ...
Step 2 needs to be changed to read:
2. Download and install BlackBerry OS 4.1.0.525 on your Windows PC from: https://www.blackberry.com/Software...lient=biTZdM ddN
This is a critical step that people tend to skip. You must have the OS installed on your PC in order for the Desktop Manager to work correctly and be able to reinstall the browser.
The 534 software would ...
I have found that when I use this method the BB browser does not work anymore and I cannot do OTA installs. Anyone else having this problem?
Also, I am now able to receive SMS, but if I have my BB turned off when someone sends me the SMS.. and then I turn my BB onlike 30 min later... I will never get the message. Is this normal?

For lords sake its opera. If I tether using my nextel or boost I can type a freaking 100 page book if I want. Opera mini has a limited amout of charactors that can be send. Get on a i580 ,v950, or palm centro with opera mini. You can type so many charactors then they stop letting you put more in . With the blackberry it doesn't stop you that is where the confusion starts. Other versions of opera than opera mini don't have these...

The problem with the native browser is the workaround as well as other apps as I previously stated. Also her native browser loads a lot faster...
