I noticed that when upgrading, the bbm said remove. I checked it to none and it kept 5.0 after the upgrade. BlackBerry8900/5.0.0.130 Profile/MIDP-2.1 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100

well, i went back to check DM and under BBM 5.0 it lists "none" as the action shows BBM 4.7 to be a downgrade. oh well, don't really feel like messing with it tonight. will reload bbm 5.0 hopefully tomorrow. the ota links that were given to me are all giving 907 invalid cod errors.

One fix that's worked for me is setting the phone to '3G Only' in the Mobile Network Options. I get WAY LESS hourglasses and not a reboot since I've done it. Read about the fix over on CB. A few people over there have a hunch that one of the problems causing reboots lies in the 3G/EDGE handover, etc.

yes, if you go to your options in sms and go to General Options.... Hide Sent Messages. Just set that to Yes and you will be good to go!

I did the browser fix on .238 using BBSAK and did a straight upgrade so the browser continues to work. Looks like I will need to install the VVM files. It is definitely snappier, especially when viewing files on the media card and just moving around from app to app or in menu screens, and I like the aesthetic tweaks as well. I agree, CrunchDude, this seems like the final beta before the 9700 with a final 5.0 release comes out in a few weeks....
