Run the numbers on a retirement savings calculator and you will be shocked at the amount of money you will have at age 65. This is the kind of story I like to tell at my financial literacy seminars. Glad to see there are a few smart/responsible people still out there! Way to go! As for myself I could do a little bragging also. I'm 20 yrs old - 100% debt free, Roth acct. since I was 17, Own my own business ($10,000 - $15,000/yr) in addition to a full time job, Still live at home so I can save over 80% of my income each year ... and I even managed to make 11% on my stocks from 10/08 - 6/09.
