Thread: Blackberry Bold 9700 slated release for...

Well according to the personal journal section of todays WSJ - page D3 - the new blackberry bold 9700 is coming out november 27th for tmobile but no mention of any release date for At&t... so is this right??

Sure - no newspaper would ever print anything that's incorrect. No one here knows the release dates! The T-Mobile date has been reported elsewhere (same article), but it was also going to be available on the 4th, 11th and 16th. Probably ever other date in November also.

Yes, I got one also from T-Mobile today. I believe the OP was asking about a release date for AT&T.

Any release date is meaningless unless it's from an official carrier announcement. You can read all the info you want from the rumor mills but it's all just rumor -- expect to be disappointed if you take that route. Not every carrier can have a new device first.

Does anyone know if its possible to choose EDGE only on the 9700? I believe this feature was added to the bold 9000 by a software upgrade. I usually like to do this while I am on a business trip to utilize battery life (we all know how 3g devices are with battery life!)

T-M company store told me, today, that 11/16 is the day (Monday).
