Thread: Biggest Monster So Far (for me, anyway)

Started 3 months ago by corpsewalker
A Sunday afternoon casual duelling. In amongst the drinks & humour, trash talk and 30+ games, I ran my mono-white stompy up against his mono-green classic stompy. Him: Mana elves, wild growths, stompers from turn 4 onwards. Me: Mainly Auriok Champions & Pegasii, backed by angels. A lot of defensive on my side, Path to Exile, Humble etc keeps me in the game. Eventually the game settles...

I was just gonna say I regularly make 3,000,001/3,000,001s. That's slightly cooler though.

Noninfinite big creature are way cooler than "i just use this combo and it's now 1 billion/1 billion" in my opinion. I would love to be beaten to death with a 4000+ power Avatar token if he scraped every last piece of lifepoint together himself without an infinite combo

I definitely agree that non-infinite combos are WAY more cool. WAY back when 9th edition had just dropped, I had a Serra Avatar equipped with four Loxodon Warhammers, and had two of that enchantment that gives all of your creatures lifelink for 3WW (can't remember the name). I couldn't attack him, so I was stuck blocking. I ended up with the avatar (any my life total) over 1,500,000,000...

I don't know, does this count, becouse it was not quite mine, but my teammate has had a over 3000/3000 Immaculate Magistrate enchanted by Freed from the Real - with no infinite mana.

During a 2HG game, my partner played a 398/398 Mycoloth. I am still not terribly fond of devour, but with me playing control, that Mycoloth actually went long enough without eating removal that we won the game.

I was playing an early version of my intet the dreamer edh against my friend's Akroma, Angel of wrath. He had a serra avatar and a wall of reverence, which couldn't get past my spearbreaker behemoth. I had to spend three turns spitting imaging, making one copy of serra and two copies of wall of reverence, to get a bigger one. By the time I got that online his life total was almost a thousand...and by the time mine passed his I had a...
