Console manufacturers should send out a bulletin of a list of banned consoles to retailers. This should help.

It'd be easier to plug it into a network and check Live access then deal with how knows how big of a list of serial numbers.

These would make a pretty good deal for a console if you don't want to play on xbox live. That said, is there any hacks that don't require opening up the system? If there arn't one way to be sure the console isn't banned is by looking at the warranty sticker.

How exactly would they know if the games are legal? The whole point of the modchip is to disable the warez check.
