Thread: Best iphone car charger??

Started 1 month, 2 weeks ago by widgeon13
Somehow I lost my last car charger and going to get a new one, are any sig better than others or basically all the same? Think my last was a Belkin, worked fine but the cord was too short for talking on the phone and still charging the phone. I would not be adverse to something that holds the phone, charges it and allows for working the apps. Thanks for the suggestions.

The best I've had so far is the Griffin 9749-P JBLK PowerJolt Auto Charger for iPod (Black) . It works beautifully with the 3G or 3GS iPhones. I've bought 3 chargers in the past that didn't have the right voltage so you have to be very careful which one you choose, even if it says it works with the iPhone. You have to make sure it works with your model iPhone. It also comes with an extra USB ...

i really dont recommend those car chargers i think its a problem with the voltage difference issue so i think it makes your battery life cap go low like crazy! this isnt confirmed but thats what i felt after using those car chargers. can anyone confirm this?

That's interesting, my other option is one of the add on batteries that you can marry up to the iphone, more expensive but supposedly doubles the battery life.

I have had the same question for a while. Is this the only charger you guys recommend? I have to believe there are multiple opinions on this subject? Also, I thought that car charging could easily ruin a battery. Is this true? If so, how can I avoid this? All advice is much appreciated.

I got a mophie juice pac that is an add on battery and doubles the life of the phone, only downside if the added bulk. Other issue is that the case is very slippery, no trying to find a rubber case that gives a better grip. By the time I finish, the iphone will be like the old Motorola bag phone.

How about getting a iphone solar charger instead of car charger? Less harm to your car battery. Car battery charging is prone to uneven current. This can cause surge and down in current to your iphone. furthermore car charge will deplete your car battery power and shorten its life too. Use solar power and save the earth. Giving you a constant supply of power as long as you are using. Now everyone is talking about green in copenhagen.
