Yea i think blue would look better. From what i can tell they are just rebuilt stock style calipers that are powder coated.
I can get powder coated ones from advanced for $74
The stainless Steel Brake company has double piston set but they are $400. Dont wanna shell that much out.
I'm most likley going to get stainless steel braided hoses and some 1500 Deg ceramic paint and ...

With my experience with what your dealing with as far as psi numbers going up and down and not being consistant, i found it to be the pump. The only thing diff. was that my "unable to start on the first crank" symptom got worse until it just wouldn't start. Put a new pump in there and it started like new. I considered the regulator but after looking at wiring diagrams for my 96 5.7 Sierra, i was ...

My TBI 350 has been knocking the past few nights/mornings 10 seconds or so after I start it. It's been 50* out. It only knocks at idle, when I drive it the engine sounds fine and after it warms up it idles fine. I thought it might have something to do with the timing but I don't know. I have the timing 4* advanced with the fuel pressure set at 14 psi, which I thought was alright. Any suggestions?
Over the weekend I had my clutch replaced. I had a GM mechanic who ownes his own shop on the side install it. I purchased the Zoom Performance 30014 clutch kit. It came with the clutch plate, pressure plate, throw out bearing and installation tools. During the installation I purchased a new slave cylinder from the dealer and the new clutch hose. He also topped off my tranny fluid with me. He ...
Most likely intake gaskets going bad. Tons and tons of info here about it - try a little searching for more info and even a few write-ups on replacing them. Extremely common problem on the first gen Vortec small blocks. Take care of it before it causes any damage. If it's getting into your oil, fix it immediately or you'll kill your bearings. Richard

Well I was hoping the window issue was fixed but nope, my 2006 had frozen windows all it's life and now the first cold snap and same problem on my 2009. Atomic make sure you make some pictures and post them to a thread on how you fix this. You do know the window circuit changes polarity meaning it has 2 wires to the motor, 1 hot and one ground in the down mode then they change polarity to make the motor run in reverse to go up.
And if the truck doesnt make peak tq till 3200 rpm,why would you need anything else down low?In stock form the only run to 5000 rpm as well.....if they made peak tq so high, tri y's would not be what you wanted at all.....

Yeah they can change all the shift points and pressures to your liking. Can also mess with converter lockup as well. As far as removing your cats to get more power, it's kind of a wash (not to mention illegal as hell and a monster ticket for no reason). With modern day catalytic converter tech the airflow is plenty with 2 cats on our rigs. If you want to open it up a bit, injectors, good air filter, delco plugs gapped down, tune from...
