Thread: Beejive connection issue

Started 1 month, 1 week ago by evolution83
Is anyone else having connection issues with Beejive? It seems like I'm getting disconnected quite frequently and I'm about to just use the official clients of Yahoo and AIM since I've never had problems with either of them, even though I despise the AIM interface. I looked on the support forums and didn't see anything about this yet, but I'll keep an eye out.

I think AIM in general has been having issues with mobile networks. Mine is being a bit touchy again and I use IM+

It's not just you. I've seen this happening a lot with Beejive as well - primarily with one of my AIM accounts (and not the other, and not with my GTalk account). Kind of irritating, actually but I haven't really searched around to find the cause...

I haven't had any problems with disconnects but I have been having push issues every now and then but I just attributed it to AT&T's horrible service (since it can be spotty in areas I travel to).

I decided to uninstall the app for now until I see an update that addresses this issue. I never had it before so it's kind of odd to me. I seem to get disconnected several times a day.

I'm not sure how well it works with AIM but with msn messenger it works perfectly, I've never been disconnected before and push works flawlessly. Over a period of a week I had a friend send me messages at certain times and I never failed to receive one, there's a few second delay at most. Maybe it is AIM that isn't working properly but deleting then reinstalling might be worth a try
