Thread: Bedtime/wake up time

Started 2 months ago by tolleyrose
Hi mamas! I just wanted to see what time your twins go to bed and wake up.  My twins are FINALLY back to waking up only once a night to eat...OMG I never thought we'd get back to that.  I was still up 3-4 times last night to shush, give pacis, reswaddle but at least it was only one feeding.  Two nights in a row...not holding my breath that it continues but maybe it will!! Anyhoo.......

My twins sleep from 8pm - 8am.  They only get bottles at 8am, 12pm, 4pm, and 8pm, plus a jar of baby food each at 12pm and 4pm.  They are 15lbs and 16lbs.

Camden and Nathan go to bed around 8-8:30pm, they don't usually wake up in the night although last night Camden did at 3pm, but usually they dont wake up until about 6:30-7am.  They eat 6-7 oz bottles of formula 5 times a day and eat about 1/4c of cereal and 2T of either fruit or veggie twice a day.  Camden is about 15lbs and Nathan is 19.5lbs.

I think mine need a lot of sleep... Mine go down at 7 and, if left to their own devices, may sleep till between 6:30 and 7:30.  They've been doing that since they were 13 weeks old--they sort of did it on their own.  Days that I work, I get them up around 6:15 and those days they tend to nap earlier.  They eat every 3 hours with a top-off at 6pm.  They are still in a cycle where they nap ...

My babies sleep from 10PM to 8AM, no feedings in between. They are fed 50/50 breastmilk and formula. They are 13 and 15 and a half pounds, and have 5 feedings evenly spaced throughout the day. Hope that helps! Shelley

Mine are 7pm down, up anywhere between 6:30 to 7. Feeds are 7, 10:30, 1:30, tide-over bottle of 2oz when in at work at 4pm, cluster-feeds when I get home at 5:45 & 6:30. They are EBF, and I have no idea how much they weigh, lol, but would guess 15lbs? Great news re better sleep!!! :-D deb

8 or 8:30 pm bedtime, 8 am or so wakeup time. They have 5 feedings per day and we just started cereal so I don't know how/if it will affect things.  They take 3 naps per day... I guess that is ok for now? Last night it was a pretty late 3rd nap (5:30-6:30) but they still went to bed as usual. I too have wondered if I need to do an earlier bedtime. Man babies are tough to figure out!! ...

Ok...sounds good.  For some reason I was thinking that they needed 12 hours of sleep at night (Claire would sleep 8-8 when she was a baby).  Seems like a few of us have 10 hour sleepers.

Oh...and their last nap is from 6-7ish.  If I go with an earlier bedtime I'm guessing we'd have to drop that last nap (yikes...fussy central!)

Mine get pjs on at about 6 or 7pm and in bed.  Then at 9 or 10pm they have their last bottle.  They are only awake for about 30 min for this feeding.  They sleep until about 7 or 8am.  They only nap for about 45 min to 1 hour after each of their feedings during the day.   They are 12lbs 1.9oz, 12lbs 5.8oz and 12lbs 14oz.

Mine usually go to bed between 7 and 7:30 and have a dreamfeed at 10 or 11 and then wakeup time is usually at 7 but lately has been 6:30.  I also wanted to tell you that those ridiculously long posts I wrote about sleeping...please erase all memory of them from your mind.  Although mine don't nurse in the middle of the night very often (they did last night)...Dillon wakes up a lot after 4 or 5. ...
