Figure skaters Jamie Sale, Shae-Lynn Bourne, Isabelle Brasseur and Barbara Underhill are among the former Olympic and world champion stars who will pair up with former NHLers in an elimination-style dance competition coming to CBC-TV this fall. The CBC says the seven-week reality series, which debuts in October, will also feature ice dancers Marie-France Dubreuil, Christine Hough-Sweeney, ...

I wish I got Canadian TV. Why isn't this in "Great Skate Debate" or at least the "Skip", since it involves skaters?

Maybe we'll get lucky in the US and they will air this on the NHL Network. One can dream!

Barb and Tuffy??? SWEET. I bet they're the best pair ladies in this competition, even though they've been retired for years.

I think that Shae is with Ti Domi- that is my educated guess anyways

Thank you Kevin (and team) for bringing us this wonderful show. I'm one of the stray sheep who's been brought back into the fold....I followed figure skating intensely since 1996 but kind of lost interest the past few years and this show brought the fun and excitement back with a huge whallop. I'll be attending Skate Canada on Friday, dipping my toes back into the skating pool.

From the Halifax feed - show started with a group number with all the couples; Kurt performed "Brickhouse"; Jamie & David skated; Marie-France & Patrice skated; "filler" with comments from current hockey players; information about the charities each couple were supporting; comments from Dick Button & Sandra Bezic; finally , shortly after 8:30 the first couple was eliminated from the...

Finding our way back to skating - go figure by Scott Russell http://www.cbc.ca/sports/blogs/2009/...to_skatin.html Ok I'll admit it. I almost had a tear in my eye reading the last two sentences of this article. And this one made me laugh out loud Loose Change: The beginning of the end? http://www.thehockeynews.com/articles/29397-.html
