www.speedtester.bt.com will display the IP profile you have assigned BY BT WHOLESALE. Does that page actually show 5400? The IP Profile follows the sync using a pre-determined pattern and on IPStream there are only three options for fixing it, 500, 1000 and 2000. I wonder why some people get BT calling them loads of times and others don't? when I dumped BT around 2004, I had one call from them about 6 months after and that was it. Even now I am back with BT I think I had 2 calls, one to get me to sign up for BT vision and the other to try and get me to extend my broadband contract.
