Ditto to everything you said criddlesing. It was okay but a bit corny IMO. My niece liked it but said the movie could have been made better and there were some things that were different. She especially felt a few of the characters pesonalities were different in the movie compared to how they were described/portrayed in the book. But being 14, she said she'll watch it again when it comes out on ...

I saw Twilight the other night. Not bad if your a teen. Robert Pattinson (Cedric Diggory aka the harry potter dude ) ty Sun is a pretty good vamp. Changeling was just meh for me. Australia would have been better without Nichole Kidman. Hugh Jackman was sure wasted on this flick

For all you fashionistas out there... A year of nightmare fashions. Yeah, Clay can bring the fugly, but these people wear the epitome of fugly! Do they even do a passing glance in a mirror?

Sad news on the celebrity front: John Travolta's Son Dies in Bahamas . I wasn't aware that Jett Travolta had a seizure condition. How horrible for the family; he was only 16 years old.

Oh that's so sad. So I've been looking to do some more reading. I forget sometimes that I really enjoy reading so much. Well before the holiday I read the Twilight Saga and loved it but now I'm looking for some more good reading. I haven't seen anything posted lately. Has anyone read The Shack: Where Tragedy Confronts Eternity ? I heard it was really good. I was thinking of reading that but ...

Oh my, that's so sad about the Travolta family. Jules , I haven't read the Shack, but I've heard it's good! The author spoke at a conference I was at back in December and he seemed really down to earth and humble about the book. It's definitely on my to read list!

There have been ongoing rumors that Jett Travolta was autistic (denied by the family who say he suffered from Kawasaki Syndrome) and that his parents refused to get him treatment because of their Scientology beliefs. Sympathy and prayers going out to the Travolta family.

Northernkitten replied 11 months ago
Actress Kelly Preston has said her 16-year old son with husband John Travolta became very sick when he was 2 and was diagnosed with Kawasaki disease, an illness that affects the blood vessels in young children. The boy, Jett Travolta, died Friday after suffering a seizure at the family's vacation home in the Bahamas, though it wasn't immediately ...

So Billy Elliot was FABULOUS!!!! Thanks so much for the recommendation, NomadFan ! We saw David Alvarez as Billy and he blew.me.away. Since I have begun to doubt that my RENT obsession will ever fade, I was totally psyched to see that the final show that was filmed live on Broadway for theatres back in October will be available on DVD on February 3. Pre-order it here! I don't...

I am so looking forward to seeing Billy Elliot in April! I really want to start taking better advantage of truly how close I live to the cultural icon of NYC. Change of subject - One of my sweetie pie students gave me an audio book for Christmas so I'd 'have something to listen to on my long commute to school.' Well, I did - and I hearitly recommend to y'all to get the book and/or audio ...

Anyone watching 'True Beauty'? Anyone watching the one where there are three bachelors and their mothers? 'Momma's Boys', I think it's called?

What is it?!? I can't see it cuz I don't have Windows. (Not bawling cuz I don't have Windows, mind you ... that pleases me greatly. Just don't appreciate being excluded by stinkin' Microsoft.)

Brooks announced Thursday afternoon that he'll start a series of solo acoustic concerts in the 1,500-seat Encore Theater at the Wynn casino and resort in Las Vegas as part of a multimillion-dollar deal with Steve Wynn, the hotel's billionaire developer. B-b-but I am nowhere near Las Vegas!!! He could still sell out arenas.... Still. that is one big EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! for my chunky songwriting, guitar-strumming, smooth-talking...

Woot! Chris Pine is a hottie, bayou . And he picks up on the nuances of Kirk beautifully. I thought all the characters really paid homage to the original performances by the original cast while still making the parts their own. I especially loved the guys who played Bones, Kirk and of course, Spock. That guy was amazing. Actually, I loved all the cast. Nk , I've seen previews of Pirate Radio and it looked really interesting. I'm...

So I have a new obsession. Ever heard of Jack's Mannequin? Well, in 2005 their lead singer Andrew McMahon (basically he is the band from what I can tell) was diagnosed with the same leukemia my nephew has. A year of chemo and a stem cell transplant later, he's in remission and released a new CD late last year. He's also started a charitable foundation geared toward raising money for blood cancer research, and specifically draw...

Well I saw HP earlier this week and while I thought it was awesome...because HP is awesome, I was disappointed in the ending. I was ready for more because the ending of HBP is just so BAM! I think they left out some major points in the movie for the ending compared to the book. Harry ended up looking like a bit of a schmuck to me. It did inspire me to go back and read HBP again though.

Guh, JMayer is good no matter the venue, bayoubevo . He's really doesn't disappoint in concert. He's not only super talented, but he's also super witty and entertaining (kinda sounds familiar ).
