With the firmware updates I downloaded from LG UK and LG Mexico, I turned on my player, I simply downloaded and copied the unzipped file to my formatted USB stick, and stuck the USB stick it in the player. The player then automatically recognized the firmware on the stick and asked if I wanted to install. However, I could never get firmware downloaded from LG USA to work this way.
