They allow both. They prefer you live within two hours of the gateway you choose.

Negative. The FO pay was recently adjusted. I have no idea how long upgrade times will be as it depends on growth and attrition. We are still growing, but attrition is very low as you may expect.

-Thanks in advance
An update to the Avantair page was sent in but it has not been posted yet. It included the window for the resumes of 11/7 through 11/21 as well as the recently announced...
Is there a training contract ??
FO pay is kinda low if you're stuck in the right seat for a while..........
When you upgrade, do you move to Captain pay at your current longevity - ie 3 years at company, upgrade and switch to 3 year captain pay - or is it like Floptions where you go to first-year captain pay when you upgrade?
Is the "2 hours from Gateway" a hard and fast rule? I am 3 hours from IND or CMH. Plus...once you are assigned a gateway (IND for instance) could you ever switch if another one became available (I am 1 hour from Louisville)?
Thanks again for the replies.
In the past there has been a 1 year training contract but I cant remember the amount. If you do some searching on this board you might be able to find it.
If you live more then 2 hours away from your gateway you would be considered a comuter.
CA pay is based on longevity. 3 years at the company = 3rd year CA pay at 64k.
If you guys and gals have any more questions dont hesitate to...
Is there any word on how many resumes are coming in? I would assume with the current state of hiring in the industry, the number would easily be in the thousand's.
As for flight time I have no idea. I am not looking at the resumes so I cant quite tell what has come in the door. In the past they have looked for. 1. FMS/Glass experience 2. 121/135 time 3. Turbine time From my understanding they are looking at the resumes that have pilot recomendations attached first. My advice to anyone who would like to work for Avantair is to submit your resume. If you dont submit it we are not going to call.....

thanks Celloman.... I have the 135/121 time and the turbine time. But I don't have much glass time. I'm not sure why the glass time is so important. anyone who has flown 1800 RVR approaches on steam gauges, can do it on glass. It will only be easier. Shoot, I could program a VCR back in the days before on screen graphics ... to imply I could not learn is just silly. I do some part time instructing in a G1000 equipped 172 and I made...

No surprise. Avantair is the only "national" fractional that appears to be growing. Executive AirShares out of Kansas City (a "regional" fractional in the Midwest with domicilies in MKC, TUL, FTW and ICT) is also growing - albeit slowly (Avantair appears to be adding airplanes faster) with a new stable of Phenom 100s. I bet that many former Netjets, Citationshares, Flexjet and FLOPS owners have downsized to...
