I'm mellow about 2010. I feel that a lot of pressure to win is off. Actually, I'd be much happier if the Yankees used 2010 to develop a new core. I'd like to see Hughes and Ian Kennedy get regular spots in the rotation. I'd like to see AJAX and Montero come up at some point in the season and get regular starts. I'd like to see Cervelli as the backup catcher. I don't want Holiday nor ...
You play to win the game. If we can get another solid starter, we should do it. Hughes and Joba need to stay in the pen. Kennedy needs to be used as trade bait.
Sorry AJAX that isn't the worst idea but the Yanks still live by "We play today, We win today" putting too many kids on your roster leaves the team very vulnerable. I think you will see those kids on the shuttle back and forth from SWB next year as injury replacements. As far as Ian Kennedy is concerned, he needs to prove that he can handle the pressures of NY, any situation beside the late ...
Chamberlain I can understand but why Hughes? At times like this I believe they can afford to give him another shot, remember not everyone can do well immediately. Not to mention the fact that Hughes didn't have much chance to do so this year and last year was plagued by injuries.
Does sound a bit like the attitude of a small-market team, but such teams are merely making a virtue of a necessity. The Yankees need to think a bit bigger. As for pitching, I'm one of those who believes we need at least one more ace in the rotation. As Jeter ...
exactly, why clip coupons when you can buy the store? we were not handed this status, we EARNED it. teams that cant cut it, the door is over there ------------------->
Just bring Matsui and Damon back for another and slowly work in AJAX and Montero. Let them get a taste. Save the money for another really big time pitcher. Someone like Cliff Lee for 2011.
