Thread: Are you getting the swine flu vaccine along with the regular flu shot?
Started 3 months, 3 weeks ago by taurus430
The regular flu vaccine is available next week, Sep 9th for me. I was wondering if I should get the swine flu vaccine also, being available in Oct or Nov. What are your thoughts?
Nope for me and all of my family (at least 30 people) for both.
They don't work. They do more harm than good.
Some vaccines work and the good outweigh the bad, but in this case it is not so.
Flu shots do NOT prevent flu death.
The immune system's whole point is to encounter disease, fight it and become stronger so the next time a disease comes around it is ready for battle ...

Two different problems. Flu shots avoid a seasonal problem. Swine flu is the end of civilzation ...

Neither thank you. But I will be upping my dose of echinacea , vitamin c and ...
My good friend from California just messaged me that she and her 2 kids have the Swine Flu!! Crazy huh? She said they are battling 104-105 fevers , body aches and nasty stomach pains! One of her kids is only 1. They went to 3 different doctors , all said there in no medicine worth taking, ride it out with plenty of fluids.
I thought Tami-Flu worked, they told her the side effects are too ...
I have been getting the regular flu shot for many years, ever since i got a bad case of flu and was sick for 2 weeks. I felt like I would have to get better before I could die! Some years I get a light case for a day or two, if the vaccine isn't quite right for the year's strains, but I have never been sick for longer than that. That's enough for me to continue getting it.
As for swine flu ...
I will be taking both if that is recommended for healthcare workers... I work directly with H1N1 Flu patients. My kids do get the seasonal flu shot eavery year. I have not talked to their Ped about the H1N1 vaccine. But, my husband and I work at hospitals so we are 'high risk' so we need to protect our kids.
I had a horrible case of the flu 10 years ago which turned into a double pneumonia which turned into a worse complication, leaving me with permanent lung damage. I was in the ICU for a week and hospitalized for another week, and on antibiotics for 2 months after that.
However, saying that, I have never, and will never, get the flu shot or the swine flu shot. I would rather let my body ...
Most masks protect the sick person from spreading the disease rather than the healthy from contracting the disease. This flu is MILD. This flu is NOT killing people like the seasonal and defintely NOT babies and elderly. Death rate is a mere .007-.045% down from when this whole thing started! "It's mildest in kids." Expert: H1N1 death rate similar to seasonal flu - Swine flu- msnbc.com They need to promote BREASTFEEDING...

All per the recommendations of my PHYSICAN.
I got the regular flu shot (non-H1N1) a while ago - so far so good. I have never gotten sick from it. If you never hear from me again - well...send roses. All this drama.
I just read an article yesterday that if you are considering a flu shot either regular or the H1N1 to make sure you ask for the vaccine that is mercury free.
No conspiracy theory as you like to call it, rather it's about increasing the bottom line by pushing the envelope as far as they can get away with. No conspiracy....just plain old greed.
Mod cut: personal attack There is no way you spew the bunk you do and have taken any courses in epidemiology or statistics or anatomy for that matter... not a chance. A nurse knows the difference between a chiro and a MD. That is a broad claim that RN's/doctors are the main spread of MRSA. There are many ways that it spreads... not just from not washing those hands. I know at most hospitals, you now have to show proof of a flu vaccine to...
I answered "not sure". Questions: Where can you find all the ingredients used in particular vaccines? Where can you find out exactly where a vaccine was produced? Where can you read credible results of studies done on vaccines? Where can you read real statistics on the effectiveness of specific vaccines? Where can you find out the number of negative reactions, and of what nature, for specific vaccines? Is it proven that...
Wasn't there something (suspect) about children developing autism from being vaccinated? Did this include the flu shots? I see from research the additives that were used in the flu shot like aluminum, mercury and formaldehyde.

What are your thoughts? I am getting NEITHER.Just ths fillers in vaccinations are a big enough turnoff to deter me and I would hope - anyone- with half a brain- would also want to avoid taking any vaccinatons--no matter WHAT your medical doctor may say...
