Ratharim is obviously a champion expert player, I couldn't have given better advice. When fighting against multiple enemies, dropping fervour and using a shield exponentially increases your survival capabilities. I have my shield always shortcutted on mine. weakest as in survivability? perhaps, they have few heals, limited CC or none, few emergency i win buttons if it gets too much (guardians pledge, feign death, CoW, hips etc for other classes) but that doesnt mean necessarily they are weak. They will kill anything quicker then most characters, in champions case they will clear mulitple enemies faster then any class, relying isntead of CC and heals there tactic is to kill them quickly before...

Kill stuff before it kills you, simple.
