Thanks about Aplan
I did a online quote with flux a couple of weeks ago and it was £376 but they said it could go up or down because i had asked for the quote to early,I phoned them up just to see what i might have to pay,Im waiting till i get my quote from lv so i can play against flux and lv and then chris knott,I will also check out Aplan.

Maybe you were unlucky when they said you needed a tracker now thats weird,Just a thought was your car heavily modded?
When i phoned them up i said its was in a car park etc..No mention of a tracker and when i said a car park outside my house she said thats fine,But i wasn't to bothered how i explained where it was being parked as it was only a quote to see how much it would be ...

Get quotes from HIC, Chris Knott, and other brokers as well. They all have a less dubious past than AF.
Usually you get your renewal price at best 10 days before, more likely 5. Its not in their interests to give you too much time to think about it
Most quotes are usually valid for 30 days.

get a price on-line, it'll probably be far cheaper than your renewal quote anyway.
Yea now that would be way better way,When it was a standard car it cost me
£267.96 where my insurance before wanted £488.62,So that is ...
Jem, what I will say is that your insurance is really cheap.
As Frizzell's LV= used to specialise in SW England along with civil servants.
Don't know how far you will get a better deal with mods!
NB add a named driver (e.g. parent) to the policy with yourself as main driver - can often reduce the premium!
Yea it is very cheap and was well pleased when i had that quote,That is for me to drive with 6years NCB and also my g/f is on that aswell as a named driver,But i am adding a decat so im not sure if its going to bump up the amount to much,I did phone lv up towards the end of october to ask how much will i have to pay if i wanted to decat,They said it will be £11.27 which would take me up to ...
So ive had my paperwork come through from chris knott in the paperwork its saying im actually insured with highway which is part of lv,How does that work as im with lv now and the quote i had from them was way more.
Obviously the "decat" is the thing they are regarding as most risky. It sounds almost as though you remove the catalytic converter to do it! I take it it's a performance mod. LV= don't seem to wish to specialise in non-standard performance mods. No idea who does TBH...not the interrent comparison sites...so you've done well to shop around. a cock-up like that, saying you had not notified mods to them which...

If I were you, I would check whether A-Plan know an insurer that wants your kind of business...it was a massive moneysaver for me... Pat makes some good points there, in...
