Don't have a tech article but IMO--push all the way into trans--pull out 1/8 in.--shim what, if any, clearance is left. I believe Precision Industries recommends no less than .060 clearance. Hope this helps.

Thanks Chuck! I tried a search but gave up, didn't quite know how to word it. I tried..."How to evenly put the big heavy tranny thing in the tranny without blowin it up" Didn't come up with much, and it led me right to the deep south Craigslist for some reason. Thanks again! You going to Reynolds this year?
