Thread: Anyone interested in....Xavier Nady? If no, why not?

Just had his second TOmmy John surgery on his throwing arm. Ok, he isn't a pitcher, but two of these surgeries? He supposedly will be ready for spring training though.

Was injured for most of last season. Don't want to set aside left field for a maybe. He hits for decent power. But I want a player who hits for more power and isn't as slumps prone as Nady is. No thanks.

I liked Nady but he has been injured a lot lately, if they could get him cheap ($2M or $3M) and use him as a bench player I'd be happy with that (the Yankees get players like Nady for their bench and it works out good for them).

Only for first base on a regular basis, a platoon bench guy for outfield is all he is now with the arm troubles.

Eh ... Nady is right up the poor man's Mets alley. Taking so-so talent and pretending they're better than they are. Nady would be perfect for the Omar plan.

nady had tj surgery and will be ready for st. is it going to be like when a pitcher has surgery and it is said he will be ready during st and finally comes back in august? nady for a minor league deal, yes. otherwise pass.
