It's the closest to the book out of any of the Bond films. It's entire atmosphere is so enchanting. My favorite part from the book is also my favorite in the movie, as well; the raid on the Gypsy encampment. "Tank you!" Hah! Gets me every time....

yeah FRWL is my favorite Bond Film, still in the process of reading it though.
i thought Casino Royale was pretty damn close to the book though.
i mean aside from a few minor things like the eyepatch and the Bentley.
I don't have a badge. I have a laminate.
I disagree about From Russia with Love being the most faithful to the novel it was based, but yes, From Russia with Love certainly is one of my favourites.

My favorite Fleming novel and second favorite Bond film. It's the closest to the book out of any of the Bond films The On Her Majesty's Secret Service contingent will debate you on that one. My favorite part from the book is also my favorite in the movie, as well; the raid on the Gypsy encampment Years ago, the ABC TV network showed the movie, prime time, and cut the entire gypsy camp ...
Anyone hear a HUGE fan of From Russia With Love?
Nope, didn't hear anything.
So, how huge was that fan?
Connery, Moore, and Brosnan! Accept NO substitutes!
Believe me, I know what it's like to feel so bored that you're willing to post even the lamest groaner of a joke, just to relieve the ennui.
I've been there.
(But yes, Plissken needed the admonishment)
"I'm such a moody fellow; it depends upon my mood."
Yeah. My personal favorite in the series, although a few of the other Connery Bonds come close. It's true to the novel and has some great performances on top of that.

Verily I say unto thee...is it true CBH (AKA titmoody/mattgarth) that you have recently become a huge fan of westerns as a result of seeing BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN? Now I hear that you can't wait to visit the location in order to get inside a pair of chaps.
I laughed so much at that spelling I nearly spilt my breakfast bap, you know how upset your landlady gets when you do that -- along with the bed-wetting and midnight shouting while watching TND. That's why Mrs. Grundy refers to you as her "tenant from hell." "Howdy, Bub"
And speaking of Juanita -- Bappy talk he's talking bappy talk Talks about things he likes to hate If you should like a film And he dislikes that film You'll be crapped on just you wait. Talk about Blu-Ray clearer than the sky That is something that he just can't take Talk about QUANTUM and he'll start to cry Making all the trouble he can make. Bappy talk he's talking bappy talk Talks about how we all misspell If you...

FRWL is in my bottom 10. While extremely overrated, it's still a classic Bond film! Best film of 1963 in fact. Just barely acing out its closest competition - "The Birds" and "The Great Escape". Connery, Moore, and Brosnan! Accept NO substitutes!
" Queen's English " Well, that's just it - I'm a bloody yank, and apparently 'summersault' and 'somersault' can go-hand-in-hand in the New World English: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/summersault?db=luna som•er•sault also sum•mer•sault n.
