Thread: Anyone have a GT1 or INPA interface?

Started 3 months, 2 weeks ago by randomy
I installed DIS v.44 on my laptop, but I need the GT1 interface, or the INPA interface to connect it to my car. If I could borrow the cable for a few days, I would be very appreciative. Thanks.

FWIW: I have gotten INPA to work with my E36 with both a VAGCOM cable and the CarSoft interface. I'd like to try it out on other vehicles, so if someone would like to see what it can do on your car (seems to have more feature for newer models) bring it on into the L-town and we'll hook it up. Still working on GT1\DIS.

My car is in storage until December at the least, but if you want to play around with it then, we can always do that.

Ok I got GT1\DIS working. This software has detailed diagnostic routines that it walks a technician though, and also allows one to program the modules in their car. Depending on the model, you can turn your DRL's on\off, set the locks to activate at a specified speed, activate park ventilation, ban old\lost keys, adjust the various alarm sensors sensitivity and more. These are features the ...

How'd you get it to work? I've got VAGCOM and I've been looking for a similar type tool for the BMW so I can reset adaptations etc.

Yes it can adjust idle speed, well at least there is an option for it, but it stated that for M52 engine, idle speed cannot be set by software. For other engines it can. I did use it to reset my adaptations. I made a write-up of how to get an INPA interface working with DIS, in my circumstance I am using a CarSoft cable: http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum....php?t=1312 104

No need for the GT1 interface. I think this will work with the $12 KKL (vagcom) interface I have as well. I'll test it tonight.

Just to update, I have also got SSS working. This is nice piece of software to code your modules, and program the features.
