Laura, We finally got the "official" diagnosis b/c school would not give him the services he needs w/out it. If your school system is cooperating and making sure his needs are met, you may not need to. However, it might be in his best interest to get a diagnosis at some point b/c you never know how things could change with schoo...but you don't necessarily have to do it right away. Laura I am so sorry. It is hard to swallow and come to terms with, but as you said you have a diagnosis and that's what is most important now. There may or may not be a vaccine link. They are also studying advanced maternal ages of men/fathers as there also seems to be a link there.
