I just have to tell you. That whale is friggen awesome dude. And the Abe animation was funny/cool. How did you go about making it?

Hey I love your style! It's fantastic! The animations are great too! In the uppercut punch the Abe does to the robot it's not really smooth. Try to add more anticipation to add a more realistic feel to the whole punch idea. There's anticipation in every movement we make, from sitting to getting up from sitting! You had a bit of anticipation when Abe crouched down and then jumped up to fly, ...

p sage: Glad you think it's funny. I think it's kinda stupid but whatever! And there's no such thing as talent! Just hard work... JoshB: Thanks man! As for the Abraham Lincoln animation, it's all hand-drawn, on one layer. All the effects are practical. Rolo: I get what you mean about all the anticipation jazz. I definitely would like to smooth some stuff out, but that was made ...

So this summer I got to attend the animation program at CSSSA/Innerspark. It was a month of intense figure drawing and animation work at the holiest of holy art schools...Calarts *angel voices*! excellent moleskine and life drawings. so colorful! the animations are great to, but watch out because youtube screws with the framerates

eddiemendoza replied 3 months, 4 weeks ago
HTML: Thanks, dude! I like working in realism, but I love to stylize and push shapes as well. They're both legit. RickyRubyo: Ughh, yeah. Youtube really messes up the framerates. Preach it brutha! Anyway, here's some crazy portraits of some of my animation classmates:

Really nice work in here so far. A lot of it has great energy! It doesn't look like you spend a lot of time on your work though, sit down and put some extra love into a piece. Also, I don't know if you've come across these books yet, but I try to pass them on to every one I can. These are some of the best art instruction books Ive come across so far, you can download condensed .pdf files ...

p sage: I didn't see that, but most of my drawings of dudes didn't turn out well anyway. AustenFM: Well those were all from life drawing and and the poses ranged from 2-10 minutes (we never had long poses) so I couldn't really dwell on a drawing too long. And thanks for the link, but I had already come across that site a long time ago. I used to study extensively from Loomis (...

That moleskine stuff has a really good feel to it. I like the exaggerated perspective in the gas station drawing.
