Hey everyone, my name is Rory and I'm new to these boards (and can't believe I've found somewhere to discuss cycling!).Will many of you be doing the Rebel Tour on Sunday week? After the SK tour last Sunday, I'm quite hyped up about it, although even though I'm from Cork I can't say I'm familiar with the area. Can any locals shed some light on the climbs involved in the 130k, or even the "Mount" ...

Route Information
·10km Family Fun Cycle
This route is all about family participation and fun. The cyclists will start at 12 noon from the Mallow GAA Sports Complex in Carrigoon and head into Mallow town via the N72 road from Fermoy. The route enters Mallow at the Clock ...
If you did the 100 in the SK i would think you will be fine for the 130 just do it at a sensible pace and eat plenty. Not from the area but have been there a couple of times and would think it's more rolling countryside with a couple of climbs. If you have some spare time you can plot it on map my ride and see what the elevation is like.
I'll be at the Banna Tag Rugby thing on the Saturday, but I really would like to do this.
Is there anyone on here thats not so fit, but wants to do the 130km?
All my cycling mates will be in France going up hills.
Also, is it the same organisers as the SK? I was well impressed.

All the events are run in conjunction with the County Sports Partnerships and local clubs but the template seems to have been the SK. If Sligo and The Burren are anything to go by organisation should be great.

It will be a good day
Thanks for the tips guys, hopefully a bit of discussion on the event will get going in here.
Was the organisation in the SK tour exceptional, or is it common to all these An Post cycles?
