Thread: An Interesting Back Link Proposal I Recieved

Ok I found this very interesting as I was offered this on another board from one of their members, and so far Im thinking it is a good idea.
If you are like me and you post on multiple boards (no spamming allways relevant to the thread) then sharing a link with another person on that board in your sig is a good thing no?
Many boards have a limited amount of links you can put in your ...
Issue #1) Google and other search engine specifically state that selling links to manipulate rankings is against their guidelines. I'd be wary against associating my sites with purchases from anyone who is buying links.
Issue #2) If this is worth the financial cost to another, why aren't you personally taking advantage of the extra link(s) to promote your own sites. In the long run, if done ...
Chris you just ruined my day.... No I know you are right, and it's technically not selling links it's trading....I dunno maybe google sees this as one in the same.
I do not list a link to my other site on all forums because I am actually trying to phase that out.
You know I was sourcing before, and it allmost killed me. Not financially but I was running myself ragged for people who ...
Who will ever know that you swapped links with someone? Common sense has to prevail here, and I don't think that Google is policing the forums, are they?

How would a forum owner know? Jason, if this is a trade/exchange 1:1 then my next question is what is the benefit of trading versus just putting your own link in your own signature? I don't think there are any, so in your scenario where it is a mutual 1:1 trade I don't see an issue ... but I think the same benefit would be experienced by just using your own signature and the energy exerted in the exchange is a waste of time.

In the long run, if done right, you can make much more money directly than anyone would ever pay you for the links. I certainly agree with this statement.
